August 2003 News

Hello Shareholders!

It has been some time since our last Newsletter, and I would like to bring you up to date on current events.

So far 2003 has not been an exciting year here at Brandywine. With all the snow this winter, and then nothing but rain this spring, we did not have the opportunity to make much money; and we all appreciate your patience during the snow removal period.

In any event, after several months of inactivity, the sun finally came out in June and we were able to see a profit. July was even better, and fiscal year to date we are up substantially compared to last year.

There are many changes taking place this fall you should be aware of.

  • First of all the hangars on the north side of the runway will be completed by September 1. We all wish Frank Blatcher and Dave Marvin the greatest of success with Secure Flight.
  • With this completion, Flight Dynamics will relocate their maintenance facility to one of the new hangars. Please call Tom Kosek at 610-429-9650 with any questions about scheduling.
  • At the same time, HJC (Harrisburg Jet Center) will be opening a new maintenance facility here at Brandywine in the main hangar on the east ramp. Any questions you may have, please call Rich Johnson at 717-774-7809.
  • The biggest change for Brandywine Aero will be our new relationship with Phillips 66 effective Sept. 1.

With this change I am asking for your cooperation by using a Phillips credit card. You may not be aware, but each month I incur $1200.00 in credit card fees. If I could eliminate this cost, we would all be a lot closer to the day when assessments will not be necessary. Phillips will be sending you an application, or it might be quicker to go on-line" , as I have done, to obtain your card. Click on Phillips66 Personal Credit Card.

Note: I am asking for your support and hope that
everyone will have a card by October 1, as there are
no fees with a Phillips credit card.

Any purchases after October 1 should be with a Phillips credit card, or by cash, otherwise a 5% surcharge will be added to the invoice.

I appreciate your support of the airport. Please feel free to stop by with any questions.

Thank you
